SEDAC maintains a list of pre-qualified Design Assistance Experts, who are pre-qualified to perform energy assessments for the program. These experts perform full-building energy assessments, complete or review life cycle cost analyses, and provide technical assistance to SEDAC clients. These services are provided through the DCEO Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard (EEPS) program.
Pre-qualified Design Assistance Experts will only assist the local engineer and customer representative on select aspects of system design that affect overall energy efficiency and performance. They will not actually design the system, stamp building plans, or replace the local engineer. Customers have total control over personnel decisions that affect their projects. The Design Assistance Expert will assist customers to "get up to speed" so that they can execute an outstanding green building design.
Effective immediately, SEDAC will also only review Design Assistance Expert and RCx Service Provider Applications on a quarterly basis. The deadlines to submit Design Assistance Expert and RCx Service Provider applications are as follows:
Applicants will receive a written response by the 15th of the following month regarding their approval.
