The Smart Energy Design Assistance Center strongly encourages the implementation of suggested energy cost reduction measures. It is SEDAC's mission to identify building energy savings throughout Illinois. The SEDAC Service Provider program is intended to bridge the gap between suggested measures and implementation by assisting clients connect with contractors.

What do service providers offer clients?

SEDAC maintains a list of qualified professionals whose services may be available for the planning, design, installation and operation of energy cost reduction measures in Illinois.

This list of professionals includes

  • architects
  • engineers
  • lighting designers
  • high-efficiency HVAC/geothermal heat pump contractors
  • renewable installers
  • controls experts
  • general contractors
  • performance contractors
  • and other firms with expertise in energy efficiency strategies.

The intent of this list is to connect building owners with professionals who have knowledge or expertise in energy efficient design. Building managers can use the list to select professionals to conduct studies, design systems, install equipment, or provide technical assistance. This list of experts can serve as a referral database for all SEDAC clients seeking bids on measures recommended by the program team. Expenses for service provider services are the responsibility of the building owner. If you are an individual or organization who has appropriate qualifications and experience in green building methods or sustainable design, energy efficient practices, products and services, you may apply to be added to this list.
