Through workshops, webinars, and online learning, SEDAC provides opportunities for professionals to receive the training they need on the latest energy efficiency and renewable energy best practices. We partner with the Illinois EPA Office of Energy to offer Energy Code training for code officials, engineers, architects. We also train students through our internship program and teach courses on building energy systems and climate action planning at the University of Illinois. Our building energy education workshops and courses are offered to architects in Illinois and to community colleges in the US.

We conduct stakeholder outreach and research best practices to recommend ways to grow and diversify the energy efficiency workforce. We are currently working with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to launch several new clean energy workforce programs through the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act.
