Electric Mower and Tool Field Day

Join us for a workshop at the Johnson-Sauk Trail State Recreation Area (28616 Sauk Trail Rd, Kewanee, IL 61443) to explore the climate benefits of electric outdoor equipment. This workshop will feature a discussion and demonstration of electric outdoor equipment for both commercial and residential purposes that, when adopted, can reduce fuel use and costs, as well as decrease greenhouse gas emissions from maintaining landscapes.
We will demonstrate electric equipment, including:
  • Commercial and residential lawn mowers
  • Weed wackers
  • Chainsaws
  • Leaf blowers
  • … and more!
Attendees will learn more about the feasibility of electric tools for their sites or management needs and leave with information about the economic and environmental benefits of electric equipment.
We will also discuss how the use of electric tools help the Illinois Department of Natural Resources reduce its climate footprint through its climate action plan.
The event is free and open to the public!
