Electric Mower and Tool Workshop
Electrify your Outdoor Power Tools!
Join us for a workshop to explore the climate benefits of electric outdoor equipment at the IDNR Lewis and Clark State Historic Site.
This workshop will feature a discussion and demonstration of electric outdoor equipment for both commercial and residential purposes that reduce fuel use and costs, while decreasing climate emissions from maintaining landscapes. We will demonstrate electric equipment, including:
- Commercial and residential lawn mowers
- Weed whackers
- Chainsaws
- Leaf blowers
- And more!
Attendees will learn more about the feasibility of electric tools for their sites or management needs and leave with information about the economic and environmental benefits of electric equipment. We will also discuss how the use of electric tools helps the Illinois Department of Natural Resources reduce its climate footprint through its Climate Action Plan.
This event is free and open to the public.
This event will be hosted at an Illinois DNR site and state procurement rules are applicable at this event. Please find more information on prohibited communication rules here.
