Illinois Commercial Stretch Code

Is there a code for encouraging more efficient commercial buildings than required by the 2021 IECC? Yes! SEDAC’s course on the upcoming Illinois Stretch Energy Code for Commercial Buildings will compare the site energy index requirements of the 2021 IECC to those in the Illinois Stretch Energy Code. The stretch code becomes available for jurisdictions to adopt July 1, 2024. In this training, SEDAC will discuss the improved energy efficiency benefits the stretch code can offer. Additionally, we will provide a preview of the 2024 IECC, which was used as the basis for the Illinois Commercial Stretch Code. The 2024 IECC is anticipated to become the IL Energy Code in Summer 2025. This course is designed for code officials, elected officials, planning commissions, design professionals, and building owners.
