Introduction to Aeration and Energy in Wastewater Treatment: Activated Sludge Plants

This webinar is an introduction to aeration and how energy efficiency plays a role in effective aeration. We  explore the role of aeration, discuss what is “enough air” to properly treat wastewater, and the reasons for why more aeration is not always better for treatment. We dig into oxygen transfer efficiency and how temperature affects O2 transfer. While discussing these topics, we  touch on nutrient removal, floc formation, mixing, blowers, and roles of aeration equipment. We will include a variety of engineers and experts to cover information across all these subjects and learn from an operator on how they approach aeration basics.
