Is there a code for encouraging more efficient buildings than required by the 2021 IECC? Yes! SEDAC’s course on the upcoming Illinois Stretch Energy Code for Residential Buildings will compare the site energy index requirements of the 2021 IECC to those contained in the Illinois Stretch Energy Code. The stretch code will become available for jurisdictions to adopt July 1, 2024. In this training, we will discuss the improved energy efficiency benefits the stretch code can offer. This course is designed for code officials, elected officials, planning commissions, people who influence the adoption of stretch codes, design professionals, homeowners, and building owners.
